Abstract
Many authors are still interested in differences in the toxicity of various drugs at different environmental temperatures. In the small rodents, the various types of relationships between the toxicity of a drug and enviromental temperature may be graphically represented by U shape and direct line. In this experiment we calculated the LI)50 of strychnine in gold fish at the environmental water temperatures of 5¡ÆC, 10¡ÆC, I5¡ÆC, 20¡ÆC, 25¡ÆC and 30¡ÆC and obtained the result as follows.
The LI)_(50) of strychnine at the environmental temperature of 5¡ÆC is 167.00mg per one liter of water, at 10¡ÆC, L)_(50) is 116.30mg/L, at 15¡ÆC, 94.80mg/L, at 20¡ÆC, 61. 64mg/L, at 25¡ÆC,14.84mg/L and at 30¡ÆC, L)50 is 7.58mg/L.
The relationship between the toxicity of strychnine and environmental water temperature in gold fish represents graphically almost direct line.
